Has LA changed its allegiance?

The Staples Center in Los Angeles is home to both the Lakers and Clippers.
The city of Los Angeles has always been traditionally, "a Laker town." However, when big market teams go 21-41 like the Lakers have, people tend to switch sides.

The Clippers have improved greatly under new head coach Doc Rivers, going 43-20 so far while getting career years from big men Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.

Last night the two LA teams met, with the Lakers serving as the home team in their shared home of the Staples Center. While die-hard Laker fans may have been looking for redemption against their cross-town rivals, they could not have been more disappointed.

The Clippers destroyed the Lakers, 142-94, led by Darren Collison's game leading 24 points. The historic blowout will serve as a reminder to Los Angeles basketball fans that LA may in fact be coming, yes, a Clipper town.
